If you are active, you can go hiking on a fossil hunt, whale and wildlife watching, kayak the fjords or just be awed by the awesome scenery of the North Cape, looking onto the top of the world. In winter you can see the northern lights from many places in this region. Imagine New Year's Eve in Rekyavik amidst the Northern Lights. A cruise to this area is one of the best ways to travel.
