Testimonials
My interest in China is truly a life-long fascination. I grew up on my grandmother’s stories of Shanghai in the 1920s. She was a Russian refugee who lived there for some eleven years. Over the years I read everything I could get my hands on. My interests eventually led me to a Masters Degree in Anthropology with a focus on Chinese Studies. And at the first chance I got, I headed off to study at Chinese University. I wound up spending some five years in China, eventually working as a tour director. Since I resettled in the US, I have spent much of the last 15 years specializing in tourism to China.

I have arranged travel to China for hundreds of my client, from plane tickets to finely-detailed, customized itineraries. I especially enjoy working with the more unusual or specialized requests, such as the Nadaam Festival in Inner Mongolia, and have booked customers on a tour of the last remaining steam trains in China. I have booked large groups and individual travelers. I work directly with travel companies in China, which gives me enormous flexibility while allowing me to be sensitive to cost.

So if your travel plans include China (and why wouldn’t they?) give me a call. Why book the trip of a lifetime with anyone but a true expert?

Have you ever thought of cruising down one of the mightiest rivers in the world, enjoying the ancient culture it helped nourish? The Yangtze River in China is one of the longest of the world’s Rivers and helped form a nation and culture that has been around for over 5,000 years. On the river you can see the Ghost City of Fengdu, the Hanging Coffins, the Three Gorges and now the Three Gorges Dam. Some of these sights will be underwater soon. But that by no measure means there won’t be things to see for many years to come along the Yangtze. And this mighty river is just a small part of all that China has to offer. Some of the world’s most vibrant cities are along China’s coast, including Hong Kong and the phenomenal city of Shanghai. You can pair a Chinese coastal cruise or a cruise on the Yangtze with a package that includes Xi’an and the Terra Cotta warriors, Guilin and its glorious Limestone Karsts and Beijing with the Great Wall. Maybe you’ll even have time to count all 9,999 rooms at Forbidden City. And I’m going to give you one hint right now to really being able to get a view of family life in China. No matter what city you are in on a Sunday, take time to visit a park. Families go out and enjoy the park together, to take walks, let the children play, gather to sing in a choir setting or to learn ballroom dancing. If you are thinking of cruising Asia or doing a Yangtze cruise, give me a call and let me help you find the perfect vacation to meet your needs.
