Just to let you know that the trip was absolutely amazing. It went off without a hitch. Probably the first trip I went on with absolutely no problems. The tour guides were great and your choice of hotels was wonderful (especially on Hanoi and Siem Reap). I will try and call you soon to give you a full update, but Chrissy and I couldn't have been happier. I'll definitely give you a call when we plan our next big vacation.

My two friends and I decided to go to China just two weeks before our departure. American Express Travel was recommended to me for their professional tour planning. I called on a Monday morning and was assured that I would be turned on to a China specialists. After several follow up calls, five days later and no word from the tour planner, I was frantic. Since I took it upon myself to take charge...Now what! Everyone was counting on me.

Somehow, I got turned on to Stan Godwyn from our local TravelStore who claimed he was the man to contact. I frantically called him on Friday morning of that same week. Now, we are all seasoned travelers and wanted the best China had to offer. We knew we could easily be disappointed with the wrong tour from the horror stories we had heard. I explained how desperate we were and that we needed results and would he mind helping us. Just by the sound of his voice and his concern for my dilemma I knew we were in good hands..

Well, by Friday of that same afternoon he emailed us an itinerary which we loved and adjusted it to meet our desires. In a few days he had us confirmed. Air, land and hotels meeting all our requests holding my hand all the way through the planning stages.

Without his expertise we would not have had the excellent holiday we enjoyed. He is a true professional and gave us exactly what we asked for. We did this all by telephone and email. My friends and I are convinced he was sent to us from heaven. Not one glitch in the trip.

We also had the luck to meet with him on our last night in Beijing. We shared a drink together in the Peninsula Hotel and swapped traveling adventure stories. What a delightful man!

He needs to be given a raise, a pension plan with all the benefits a company could give and made chairman of the board. We can’t wait until we work with him again. We already have something in the planning stages. Thank God there are still professionals who love their work and who can come through for their clients.
