I entered the field of travel after a long career in magazine publishing. During that earlier career, I wrote and edited articles on health, fitness, nutrition, and eventually travel for magazines like Shape, Men’s Fitness and Living Fit. About midway into my 30’s, I became fascinated with exploring the world. This wanderlust is something I expect to indulge for the rest of my life. I prefer more active, “soft adventure” travel, so my latest journey was aboard a National Geographic-Lindblad expedition cruise visiting the Galapagos Islands. Would I go it alone? Maybe, but for me that is just not as much fun as traveling with a friend, a few or a small, congenial group. If you agree, you can understand why I was inspired to organize women’s travel programs.
