On our first meeting with Vana, my husband and I told her we wanted to go to Austria, Germany, Switzerland (1/2 the trip) and the other half of the trip we wanted to go to Italy and France. Vana said I can do that for you, however, you won't like me when you come back as you will be moving hotels every night and you will spend more time getting from place to place than really getting a feel for the city. Well, thank goodness we listened to her. When we first met with her, we gave her a few ideas of what we wanted to do and she was able to take that little bit of information and plan a phenomenal 28 day trip through France and Italy. Her knowledge and expertise in these two countries was incredible. Even if you don't have 28 days to travel, she could take any number of days and still plan an unforgettable trip for you. Vana booked just the right number of nights in every city. On the few cities that we were there only one night we understood how hard it would have been to change hotels every night. We wanted to do some organized tours and we wanted to have time to explore things on our own. The number of tours that were pre-booked for us was the perfect number. Every hotel was right in the middle of the city and usually within walking distance from all the main attractions. The accommodations were very nice. The best part about the trip was she planned it all from the airplane tickets, hotels, car rental, train tickets, tours and even a list of recommended restaurants. She had been to most of the cities so she has first hand knowledge of what to see and where to stay. If you had certain places that you absolutely wanted to see, Vana would definitely incorporate that into the itinerary. She even called us when we got back as she really wanted to hear our feedback. With her knowledge, experience and love of travel, I understand how important it is to rely on a travel agent vs.. spending hours searching the internet and trying to book this yourself.
