What comes to mind when you think about Germany - Oktoberfest, Lederhosen, Bratwurst and Sauerkraut with a good German beer? Germany has so much more to offer, so many things to explore. Every region has its own charm from its idyllic snow-capped Alps in the south, vibrant cities, to its beautiful northern coast. I would like to have the opportunity to show you what this beautiful country, my home country, is all about. I am a "northern light", born in the north between the Frisian Islands and the coast of the Baltic Sea. With generations of hoteliers in my family, I already had a passion for the tourism industry in the cradle. I grew up and studied tourism management in the German midlands, but I always longed for a fresh ocean breeze. Over the years, before moving to the United States, I explored most of Western Europe... so let me take you on a journey.

Discover the physical beauty of Germany traveling along the famous romantic road or the architectural richness of its castles in the south. Experience its dramatic landscape from a riverboat or savor a taste of Germany's cuisine and wines along its wine routes. Feel the pulse of the vibrant and historical cities of Berlin, Dresden, Heidelberg, Munich or Hamburg. "Die Welt zu Gast bei Freunden" (we befriend the world as our guests) was the motto of the 2006 World Cup, and I would love to help you plan your next European adventure, so contact me before you pack your bags and go!

My first personal encounter with Germany was ski lessons in the German Alps. From that time on I developed a deep love of all things German -- thus my last name! I have taken people on tours from historic, bustling Berlin with its’ iconic Brandenberg Gate and Checkpoint Charlie to the picturesque alpine village of Mittenwald nestled on the Austrian border; famous for its violin makers with its’ pedestrian walkway nestled next to the massive mountains.

Germany is famous for its punctual, frequent, safe and vast rail system which can transport you from the Black Forest to the North Sea in a matter of hours. It is a travel destination of exceptional variety and needs to be explored traversing the county combining car and train and boat. For me, one of the greatest assets is the German people themselves -- hard working and fun loving, doting the country with open air concerts, beer and wine festivals and of course the world famous Octoberfest. For those interested in the history of World War ll, almost every town has a memorial or museum depicting the events of the area.

Located in central Europe, it is a great jumping off destination to explore the rest of Eastern Europe, and is just hours from Poland, Switzerland, Austria, France and Italy. I would love to help make that dream vacation a reality. Call me and we can make it happen.
