When is the best time for Fiji vacations?
Anytime is the right time to travel to Fiji! On Fiji trips you'll enjoy an ideal South Sea tropical climate throughout the year. “Winter" season is May-October with an average high temperature of 84 degrees and low of 66 degrees. "Summer" season is November-April with an average high of 88 degrees and low of 72 degrees. The water is 75-80 degrees year round.
Is there much to see and do on a Fiji vacation?
Fiji Islands offer nature lovers unspoiled, virgin and uncrowded beaches among its 330 islands and almost as many sunsets! There is native culture and ethnic villages. Cruising the outer islands, hiking, river rafting, jet boating and just enjoying waterfalls and rain forests is a pleasant way to spend your travel time.
Fiji Entry Requirements: (for US citizens)
Passport valid for at least 6 months from your return date. Currency: Fijian Dollar. Major credit cards are widely accepted. Electric Current: 240 volts AC 50Hz with three pin power points – the same as in Australia and New Zealand. Most resorts have converters, but they may be out when you need one, so it is best if you bring your own.
Departure Tax: $30.00FJD can be paid upon departure. Usually the tax is included in your airline ticket. Ask our Fiji Island travel experts to make sure the tax is included.
What is the best way to get around Fiji?
Fiji has two international airports, one in Suva and one in Nadi. Most tourists fly into Nadi International Airport. Getting to the resorts can be an adventure in itself. Some resorts are just a scenic car ride away while others can require you to use an airplane, helicopter, sea plane, or boat. What activities can I enjoy on Fiji vacations?

Is tipping required?
No. Tipping is not encouraged. In Fiji it is left to the individual to determine whether to donate to a resort’s Christmas or staff fund.
How long is the flight to Fiji?
Coming from the United States, you will leave out of Los Angeles. You can either fly directly to Fiji or stop in Honolulu. The flight time is 10 hours from Los Angeles and 5 hours from Honolulu.
What clothing should I bring?
Dress is casual throughout the islands.
Will my cell phone work in Fiji?
Vodafone Fiji Ltd operates a GSM digital mobile communications service. Check with your carrier to find out if your mobile phone has a global roaming feature. This must be turned on in the United States. Some areas will still not have reception.
Are weddings in Fiji recognized in the United States?
Yes. You must bring the original documents to get married in Fiji:
• Original Birth Certificate
• If divorced, your divorce decree
• If widowed, a death certificate of deceased spouse
• Passport
