This small, group wine tour (maximum 16 participants) will introduce you to major wine regions of Argentina and Chile. The selected wineries on this wine tour offer an exciting, varied collection of historical, boutique, award winning and world famous wineries and vineyards.
The scenic beauty of these areas, delicious cuisine and daily activities will please wine novices and experienced wine enthusiasts as well as those with only a slight interest in wine. Our adventure includes fun with Tango and Argentine Gauchos, excellent and unique shopping opportunities and a 1913 Steam train through the Chilean countryside. There is enjoyment for everyone.
Itinerary Information:
3 nights in Buenos Aires with City tour, Pampa ranch tour, tango lesson and show and most meals.
4 nights in Mendoza Wine region with daily winery visits, lunches and sightseeing.
3 nights in Chile Wine region with daily winery visits, lunches and sightseeing plus the Wine Train experience and Santa Cruz museum for viewing Chilean pre-historic, pre-Columbian artifacts.
3 nights in Santiago with walking tour of Valparaiso and visits to nearby wineries.
We will enjoy a scenic crossing of the Andes along the Seven Tunnels Route with a stop in Uspallata, the only village along the way. It is 6500 feet above sea level and enjoys 300 days of sunshine a year.
Accommodations include 4-star hotels and wine lodges. Transportation will be provided in deluxe, air conditioned Mercedes Minibus. Tours are conducted by professional wine hosts, drivers and guides.
Included meals and wine tastings are regional, delicious, abundant and varied. Bottled water is provided throughout the journey.
