More About All-inclusive Resorts

What are some of the all-inclusive brands?

AM RESORTS

This Caribbean chain operates three brands: Secrets Resorts & Spas, Dreams Resorts & Spas, and Sunscape Resorts & Spas.

BARCELO HOTELS & RESORTS

A Spanish-owned company, Barcelo is a well-known Latin brand, with a strong presence in popular resorts areas such as Rivera Maya, where they have four resorts adjacent to each other, including the new Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach and the Barcelo Maya Tropical Beach. The properties offer everything from complimentary scuba lessons to horseback riding and miniature golf. A live orchestra performs in the evening. The new properties include as many as eight restaurants, including specialty dining options that include seafood, steak, Asian and Italian.

CLUB MED

We’re not sure where the all-inclusive vacation first began, but probably Club Med fit into that history somewhere early on. Over the years, Club Med has reinvented itself, and has become a more upscale product than it was.

In 2005 Buccaneer Creek in Martinique reopened, a preview of the new Club Med following a $50 million upgrade and expansion resulting in 293 completely renovated rooms and 44 suites. Columbus Isle on the island of San Salvador in the Bahamas sits on 80 oceanfront acres. Punta Cana features The Ramp, a teen lounge for guests 14 to 17, where guests can rollerblade, skateboard and play football. It’s completely renovated Cancun resort even features 20 all-suite units in a separate building with concierge service.
