When's the best time to visit
Argentina is a year-around destination, depending on one's interests. Being south of the equator, Argentina's seasons are reversed from ours. The north of the country has a very stable climate with sunshine most of the year. The southern part of the country is popular November thru March, though world-class skiing is available June thru August.
Getting Around in Argentina
Argentina is quite well connected with air routes, and from Buenos Aires it's hardly more than a one- or two-hour flight to most desirable locations. In many areas, beautiful day drives connect points of interest. Combining Chile and Argentina is also popular, flying in/out of Santiago and Buenos Aires.
Argentina for the Adventurous Traveler
Argentina is a hotbed of opportunity for adventure travelers. There's biking, surfing, motocrossing, trekking, white water rafting, mountain climbing, skiing and more.

Biking: There's an extensive road network throughout Argentina providing many biking options. For example, one can ride alongside the Andes range for more than 4,000 miles from La Puna to the farthest point in Patagonia.

Trekking/Walking: A range of options presents itself, following the Incas trails in the Northwest, the Central Andes area and the Southern Continental ice shelf.

River rafting/kayaking: Enjoy rafting the Manso River or kayaking across Pagaonian Lakes.

Horsebackriding: Argentina is a country that was discovered, conquered and built on horseback, and the traditions of the gauchos are still very much alive today. Ride across the semi-arid Mendoza Andes, Salta or Neuquen, or other unexplored regions only accessible by horseback.

Motorcycling: Imagine crossing the pristine backcountry roads, through the Andes Mountains and past National Parks and Patagonian Lakes by motorbike. If it's your cup of tea, Argentina is made to order, and we can arrange it.

Shopping: From the fashionable boutiques in the La Recoleta district, the newest designers housed in the Palermo neighborhood, to open-air markets, Buenos Aires is a shopper's delight.

Argentina's Regions
Southern Patagonia: Still a virgin, unexplored land, Patagonia offers unique features and landscapes including the majestic Fitz Roy, Torre and Paine massifs, Perito Moreno and Upsala Glaciers. Ushuaia is the world's most southernmost city.

Northern Patagonia: Well-known for its incredible natural beauty, the western side offers endless mountains, lakes, forests and rivers, picturesque Bariloche and San Martin de los Andes. To the East, on the Atlantic coast, Peninsula Valdes is fascinating for its varied marine life, including penguin colonies, elephant seals, sea lions and seasonal whale watching.

Northwest: More historical and traditional, where pre-Columbian civilizations and a colonial past converged. Villages like Purmamarca, Tilcara and Iruya, colonial Salta, and adventure activities in Catamarca.

Cuyo: In the shadow of the Cordillera de los Andes and the highest peak in the Americas, Aconcagua, are vineyards and wineries. Talampaya National Park and the Valley of the Moon beckon to be explored.

Northeast: Argentina's great rivers and virgin jungle offer extraordinary flora and fauna, along with Iguazu National Park, Iguazu Falls and Mocona Waterfalls.

Buenos Aires & Surroundings: BA is full of culture, history and entertainment, the Tango, while just beyond its core is La Pampa, with gauchos, rural traditions and big ranches, and some of the best beef anywhere.
