A journey to Antarctica, the White Continent is the “trip of a lifetime”. If you have been to all six continents and want to visit the seventh (even if you haven’t), this is the trip for you. The sights, sounds and feelings will stay with you forever. Explore the spectacular Antarctic Peninsula and surrounding islands. You will see glaciers and icebergs the size of skyscrapers. Look for leopard seals in small zodiacs and walk along beaches with thousands of penguins. It is truly the world’s last wilderness. Expedition leaders will educate you on this unique area of the world on board and on land. I would love to help you plan a trip that will stay on your mind and in your heart forever.

Words cannot adequately describe and photos do not capture the beauty of Antarctica. This continent is a once-in-a-lifetime destination unlike any you will ever visit -- startlingly blue waters filled with whales, seals, penguins, magnificent icebergs, volcanic mountains, birds, seals and, of course, more penguins! It's simultaneously beautiful, fantastic, surreal and breathtaking.
The adventure of sailing to Antarctica will be done in style and comfort, in luxury or in comfortable, expeditionary style ships. These ships carry between 48 and 500 passengers, sailing 11-30 days, departing in late October through early March and departing most often from Ushuaia, Argentina.
Unlike Explorers Scott and Shackleton, you will sleep in an uncrowded cabin and eat delicious foods. On board you'll watch nature and adventure films, listen to fascinating lectures by marine biologists, glaciologists, ornithologists, historians and naturalists - and make one or two landings each day by Zodiacs to mix with penguins, sea lions, albatrosses or to visit whaling stations and abandoned naval bases. The Chinstrap, Gentoo, Emperor, Adelie, Macaroni and King penguins are just as adorable as they are in the movies - except, instead of on a screen, they are just a few feet away!
I took my first trip to Antarctica with Quark Expeditions on its 68 passenger adventure ship, the Ocean Nova, sailing for 12 days. I’m going back again for an even longer voyage and a new exploration. You can experience this unique adventure too. Please call me.
