I can’t imagine that there is an area in this world with more accommodating people, more diverse nature, more fascinating culture, more adventure, and more raw beauty than what I’ve seen in my journeys around the South Pacific. You just can’t beat the lagoons of French Polynesia, the powdery beaches of Ile Des Pines, New Caledonia, the wonderfully bizarre creatures of Australia, the scuba diving in Papua New Guinea, the lushness of New Zealand, the smiles from Fijian children, or just the laid back friendly attitude possessed by all in this wonderful region. Born and raised in Australia and having lived in Tahiti and Fiji provides me with first hand knowledge on the Land of Oz and the tropical paradises of French Polynesia and Melanesia. During my early years in the travel industry I escorted group into the South Pacific, Australia, New Zealand and Tahiti. I consider all three areas my home away from home and I travel often to these destinations. Australia has great diversity and the most friendly people. Fiji, which consists of over 300 islands with white sandy beaches, is just waiting to be explored. It is a paradise for water sports. Tahiti - only 7 hours from LAX - is so accessible for Americans and when you step off the plane and inhale the fragrance of the Tiare flower (frangipana) the enchantment begins. The outer islands, Moorea, Bora Bora, Tahaa, Raitea, Huahine and Rangiroa each hold there own story. Tahiti is perfect place to relax and remember how talented Mother Nature is.
