Italy became my “adopted” country when I was still in college. My junior year abroad dragged on for years, through marriage and even a long stint with the Italian press. From the Lakes to Venice, down to Florence and Tuscany and on to Rome, Italy continues to hold a special place in my heart. Italy offers beauty, art, great food, excellent wine and of course, and let’s not forget the fabulous shoes! I have made Italy my area of expertise, not just because I'm Italian-American, not just because I lived and worked in Italy and not just because I love pasta, although I do love pasta. It's really because I love designing trips that you will want to talk about the rest of your life. Italy has always held a fascination for me. All my life, I have been passionate about anything Italian: the food, the wine, the gorgeous countryside, the clothes, the way the Italians adhere to "La Dolce Vita". Since I joined the travel industry years ago I have made a hobby of seeking out the small, historic hotels, the villas, the "palazzi", and other special places.
