THANK YOU! The trip was unbelievable. Starting in capetown through franschenhoek and finally ascending to sangita was the perfect pace. Capetown was good. Our guide from A&K, Imma Wolfe, was fantastic. A&K throughout was awesome, but had some really special non touristy touches such as brunch with frieda and lunch at the rowder (sp?) house – the food in both places were fantastic. La residence in franshenhoek was great – the hotel and staff were completely over the top. Each room at la residence has a different décor/design set up by the owner. We got to look into the room used/dedicated to the owner as well as Elton John….and I thought the room we had was better. We really enjoyed the fact the staff and the atmosphere at la residence and both sangita properties treated you more like friends staying at very affluent home rather than guest at hotel. At sangita, we got to know the sommelier at both properties and it was pretty much an open door policy as far as the wine cellars…..take a look, pick and enjoy whatever you want. Although I never did pick anything…..as the sommelier basically took care of us. I can go on…..but Vickie THANK YOU – it was a great trip. My wife and her parents and I had literally the best vacation in our lives!

Judy is already thinking about our next adventure for next summer…..possibly the Galapagos, Argentina, or even back to South Africa. Hope all is well and will be in touch with you soon.
